Congratulations to Precision Dairy Conference organizers for putting together a very informative and busy conference!
Yesterday afternoon the conversations were focused on the agri-tech industry questioning our own understanding of what precision dairy tools farmers require and are willing to pay for. More and more the feedback is pointing to data as noise. Time and again presentations warned against swamping farmers with data without context. The need to develop and improve the roles of advisors and advisory services was also discussed. Improved interoperability within the agri-tech world would contribute significantly to the effectiveness of such services to farmers.
This is a space VirtualVet is particularly interested in. We are focused on assisting farmers and vets to digitise their animal treatment and disease treatment early and once. We work with their existing software providers to build a near real-time picture of animal treatments and disease in their region and further afield.
Conferences like Precision Dairy 2016 allow us to meet partners interested in transforming how animal treatment and disease data is captured, valued and used to benefit everyone from farmers to consumers.
Looking forward to another busy day tomorrow in Leeuwarden!
